Ok, to start this thing off I have decided to talk about printing business cards. It’s a hot topic and they are one of the more popular products when it comes to printing. They are cheap, they are fancy and everyone wishes they had some to hand out.
To start you can go download a business card template, make sure you download the appropriate file for the program you will be working in – i.e. Photoshop, illustrator or any other one you might be using. You will see once you open the correct template file, the dpi, size and bleed is already set for you. Leave everything as it is, this is what we need to print your file correctly. The guidelines around the edge are for the bleed and no text should enter into these lines or come too close to them. This is the area where the cut will take place after the printing is done. Your background should extend through them so that when the cut takes place your background goes all the way to the edge of the business card.
If you have absolutely no confidence in designing something on your own you can go to our online design page and quickly put something very nice together in a matter of minutes. If you decide to design online, you can hit the print button and place your order easily and that file will stay in the system, so that you can come back and print in the future. So whether it’s a full blown catalog printing service you are looking for or a place to just print your business cards and flyers, it can all be done at JMF Printing!
Order more business cards than you need at all times! It’s usually not much more to bump your order up to the next quantity offered. If you are constantly ordering smaller amounts, that is a lot more expensive and you will be paying for shipping fees each time!
